Welcome Home Party

After months of quarantine and isolation, many people are ready to socialize in intimate settings again.

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention note that a safe way to re-introduce human contact outside of your bubble is with “smaller outdoor and in-person gatherings in which individuals from different households remain spaced at least 6 feet apart, wear cloth face coverings, do not share objects, and come from the same local area (e.g., community, town, city, or county)”.

With new COVID restrictions, our team is making daily decisions on how to best keep our clients safe and healthy. We continually strive to take the right actions and navigate this ever-evolving scenario.

When a client reached out asking for help in planning a small “Welcome Home” party in her backyard, we jumped at the chance to create something wonderful. We created an intimate and cozy setting for her 8 guests with larger-than-life accessories. An array of delicious treats with a moving box-themed cake was the perfect touch for this new resident to feel loved.

Talitha from K&T Cakepops made house-themed cake pops in strawberry, confetti, and vanilla flavors with a chocolate rooftop and red licorice chimney.

We called KDG Sweets for her incredibly detailed chocolate-covered Oreos and moving box cake. The attention to detail blew everyone away with an edible layer of tape.

Finally bringing my very own baking skills to the table, I whipped up a batch of vanilla bean cupcakes and topped them off with a “Welcome” mat from Etsy's BitsAndPiecesByPam.

Remember, you don’t need to have been on a long trip or spent time away to have a Welcome Home party. Why not think about having your own ‘Welcome Home’ party with your loved ones as you start to re-welcome your nearest and dearest back into your home after such an unprecedented few years.

Bottom line: Indoors or outside, wherever you are most comfortable, you can still have a Welcome Home party and celebrate being together with your loved ones. Events by Haylie will be here to help you, when you are ready, to host the welcome party you never even knew you needed!
