Winter Wonderland: Ice Castles
A Winter Wonderland sprinkled with dreamy icicles and frosted snowflakes opened in my backyard. The Ice Castles at Geneva National Resort and Club in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin is bringing fairytales to life as the month long, seasonal extravaganza makes a chilling return.
I threw together a small group of people to explore the caverns and tunnels made entirely from ice. Racing down slides carved out of crystal clear ice and squeezing through crawl spaces and slot canyons, you will be sure to find a super fun, frozen festivity that takes your fancy.
Truly a magical place, with photo opportunities around every icy corner, you can’t help but want to share every moment on your Instagram. With fountains, thrones, wishing wells and icicle laden arches the magical backdrops and beautiful blue sky work together to transform the area into a mystical movie set. Each and every castle and sculpture were embedded with glistening LED lights which twinkled as the sun dipped low in the winter sky.
Once night fell, structures were illuminated with colorful rays of light all throughout the park. This Winter Wonderland was a dream come true and a real Polar Express experience.
Perfect for bringing any fairytale fantasy to life, whether you want a Frozen themed birthday party with all of your friends and family, or to spend an evening bringing out your best Ice Queen or even to simply have a really ‘cool’ time, at Winter Wonderland you are guaranteed the best setting for an icy extravaganza.
