Everyone’s milestones and special moments in life look very different from one another. However, no matter what it is, it is just as important to celebrate each accomplishment, no matter how big or small. This is especially true when your friend is challenging her body and mindset.

When my friend Kelsey told me wanted to compete in a bodybuilding competition I knew it was something to celebrate. Kelsey’s journey not only resulted in an 80-pound weight loss but an overall body recomposition, something anyone would be incredibly proud of.

Her year-long sacrifice and determination awarded her a 5th place medal in the true novice category! THIS was an accomplishment and the best reason to host a fitness party.

I busted out my Cricut and got to crafting for her backyard BBQ. From punchy signs to a cool gym set up, this round of party favors was more useful than ever before. Attendants could grab facial cream, hair ties, bar soap, body spray, and an energy shot —all items offered at high-end fitness facilities.

I opted in for a dessert bar for the fitness fiend to finally indulge after her year-long diet. We had a BBQ bar and personalized cake with dumbbell-themed goodies from KDG Sweets.

Kelsey’s one food request was to eat as many donuts as possible. I wanted to truly embrace the body-builder vibe into the donut request. I incorporated weights with dessert and came up with a 50-pound dumbbell weight wall. Toothpicks held the weighty donuts to the fitness wall for the duration of the training session, I mean celebration, and proved an ultimate fan favorite for the entire evening.

I am truly honored to be asked to help with Kelsey’s party and celebrate her success. I love sharing my gift of event planning with others and can turn any moment into a theme.
