Amy and Jeff’s Personality-Packed Wedding | Chicago, IL
Amy and Jeff walked into marriage exactly how it should be—full of love, joy, and a whole lot of fun. Their wedding day at The Carter was a perfect reflection of who they are as a couple: modern, vibrant, and bursting with personality. Their celebration was less about tradition and more about creating an unforgettable experience for everyone they love.
At this point, it's no secret that we're fans of The Carter. This West Loop venue has a special place in our hearts, and Amy and Jeff's wedding showed exactly why.
If you're curious about what makes this venue such a standout, check out our in-depth review of The Carter here. It's packed with insights and ideas for hosting celebrations in this unforgettable space. And that's just what they did.
A Day Filled with Personal Touches
The energy for the day started building long before the ceremony. The wedding party kicked things off with some pre-wedding fun at the nearby Great Central Brewing Co., setting a relaxed and celebratory tone that carried through the entire day.
Back at The Carter, the getting-ready suite was buzzing with excitement. It's one of our favorite features of the venue—spacious enough for sweet moments like a first look without feeling crowded.
As guests arrived, they were greeted by some of the most creative details we've seen. The Party Collective Chicago absolutely transformed the space, starting with an oversized portrait of the couple for cocktail hour and custom-painted beer pong tables (Yes, really!) that had guests lining up to play.
These details became conversation starters and icebreakers. As physical extensions of Amy and Jeff's personalities, they welcomed their friends and family to join in the fun and feel like a part of their story.
From the Rooftop to the Dance Floor
One of the most breathtaking moments of the day happened just after the ceremony. We whisked the newlyweds up to the rooftop for some golden hour photos. With the Chicago skyline serving as a stunning backdrop, Amy and Jeff shared a few quiet moments together. The Carter's rooftop offers that raw, beautiful, and endlessly adaptable setting that makes for truly unforgettable wedding photos.
But the quiet didn't last long!
The reception was where the party truly ignited. The music from Hello Weekend was pumping, and the dance floor was packed from the first song to the last. Friends and family showed off their best dance moves under a spectacular mirrored disco ball installation that took the dance floor from fun to legendary. The room was electric, filled with an overwhelming sense of joy.
This is what it's all about.
It's about creating a day that feels authentically you. It's about building a celebration where every guest feels seen, included, and ready to party. Seeing Amy and Jeff surrounded by so much love and laughter was the ultimate reward. Knowing we helped bring that vision to life means everything. Hearing from Amy after the wedding was just the icing on the cake (or in this case, the Firecake Donut!).
