A Chicago Night Done Right at Beatnik West Town
Hilary and Andy’s wedding felt exactly like spending a great night out with your favorite people—just elevated, intentional, and centered around the fact that two of them were getting married. As close friends of Heirloom Event Company's founder, Haylie, their day carried an extra layer of familiarity and joy, the kind that shows up when a celebration is rooted in real relationships.
Getting Ready
Before the ceremony, Hilary shared a quiet moment with her dad. She gifted him a custom tie that read “you had me at hello,” printed with a photo of her as a little girl in his arms. It was a tender reminder of all the years he had held her close, guided her, and loved her fiercely, even as she stood there grown, ready to celebrate the love of her life and the next chapter ahead.
Built for a Night Like This
Set at Beatnik West Town, their wedding brought 130 guests together for a full restaurant buyout that flowed beautifully from courtyard ceremony to cocktails, dinner, and a dance floor that didn’t quit.
One venue, one guest list, and a city celebration that knew exactly what it was doing.
City Energy and Soft Edges
Beatnik’s signature bohemian style did what it does best: transporting guests while still feeling grounded and inviting. Lush greenery, layered textures, and warm light set the tone for a celebration that felt chic but never precious. Think vibrant dinner party energy, just… married.
Hosting everything in one space allowed the evening to unfold naturally. Guests lingered. Conversations stretched. The timeline breathed. Exactly how Hilary and Andy wanted it.
Good Music & Good People
Once the formalities wrapped, the party found its rhythm thanks to Turn Table Manners, keeping the dance floor packed and spirits high. A DIY photobooth by The Party Collective added a playful, anything-goes moment—proof that not every detail needs to be overproduced to be memorable.
Intentionally Easy, Deeply Fun
Captured beautifully by Renata Voci, Hilary and Andy’s wedding is a reminder that the best celebrations don’t try too hard. They choose a great space, trust their people, and let the night do what it’s going to do.
As a Chicago wedding planner, these are our favorite kinds of days—vibrant, personal, and designed for actual enjoyment.
