The Brix on the Fox Review
Heirloom Event Company does not receive a commission for positive reviews or venue referrals for The Brix on the Fox.
Some venues are stunning—but come with tight timeframes, rigid rules, or a sense that you’re just the next event in line. The Brix on the Fox flips that script. This venue just outside Chicago combines bold, industrial design with unmatched flexibility. Whether you’re envisioning food trucks, custom timelines, or just more space to breathe, The Brix gives couples the freedom to create a wedding that’s personal, relaxed, and beautifully their own.
With soaring ceilings, exposed brick, and modern finishes, the space speaks for itself — requiring little additional décor. But this venue stands apart most from typical city locations with its 12-hour rental window (versus the usual six), giving couples and vendors much-needed breathing room on wedding day.
We recently had the chance to work a wedding at The Brix, and it's safe to say this one left a lasting impression.
Price
This couple secured their 2024 date nearly two years in advance for $10,900, which, while not the lowest on the market, reflects solid value when you factor in all that's included. Couples planning further out (2026 and beyond) should anticipate rate increases and confirm updated pricing when inquiring.
What’s Included:
Furniture: Beautiful wood tables and chairs included in rental
Built-in sound and lighting for a simple plug-and-play setup for DJs
Design Touches: A curtain system for ceremony reveals, a custom-built bar area
Onsite parking for both guests and vendors
A great in-house photo booth for a fun addition to your event
With these features bundled into a full-day rental, The Brix delivers excellent value for couples who want flexibility without the chaos of piecing every element together themselves.

Planning Process
Working with The Brix team was an absolute pleasure. From early walkthroughs to last-minute questions, their staff remained accessible, communicative, and solution-oriented throughout the planning process. They offered multiple in-person meetings and check-ins, which is far more than many venues in this price range provide.
One key note for couples: while the custom bar is included, bartenders are not. You'll need to coordinate your own bar service. This couple hired 11th Hour Bartending and supplied alcohol through Prestige—an easy combo that worked seamlessly.
A few helpful planning tips:
Schedule a tech walkthrough with your DJ, especially if they haven’t worked at The Brix before. The venue encourages these extra meetings to avoid hiccups on the big day.
Catering is completely flexible—a standout benefit. Outside vendors are welcome, and this couple chose a fun, guest-pleasing mix of Modern Mexican Cuisine and Neapolitan pizza trucks. The result? A casual, festive vibe and a menu that guests raved about.
For planners and couples alike, this flexibility makes The Brix a venue that’s as easy to work with as it is beautiful.

Day-Of Execution
The day-of experience at The Brix left such a strong impression, I knew a review was inevitable. Here’s what I wrote immediately after the wedding:
“I worked a wedding at The Brix on the Fox last weekend and was absolutely blown away by the staff. When venues host multiple events in one day, vendors can sometimes feel overlooked—but not here. Margaux and Luis were incredible: helpful, accommodating, and always nearby if I or the couple needed anything. The space itself is beautiful, thoughtfully laid out, and so easy to work in. Everything you need is all in one place, and the team truly makes the experience seamless. I genuinely hope to have many more weddings at The Brix in the future.”
Months later, that sentiment still holds true. The staff’s professionalism, warmth, and willingness to go the extra mile elevated the experience not only for the couple, but for every vendor on-site.

Value
This bride wasn’t focused on bells and whistles. She wanted a meaningful day without going overboard on spending. The Brix made that possible by offering a stylish, functional space that shines without needing excess decor or complicated logistics.
Here’s what stands out:
Industrial-chic charm that doesn’t need major decorating
12-hour rental window (city venues typically offer six)
Onsite parking for guests and vendors
Beautiful furniture and built-in lighting included
Catering flexibility, including food trucks and outside vendors
For couples who love the look of Chicago’s warehouse venues but want more flexibility, less stress, and a more relaxed guest experience, The Brix offers the best of both worlds. It’s urban charm with suburban ease—and that’s a rare combination.
