Anna & Juanlo’s Summer Wedding at The Arbory
Anna and Juanlo’s wedding was exactly the kind of celebration The Arbory is made for: vibrant, personal, and full of energy. With just under 100 guests and family flying in from around the world, the couple wanted the day to feel warm and welcoming. Every decision, from the music to the menu to the color palette, centered on that feeling.
Getting Ready & A No-Look First Touch
The morning began at London House Chicago, where both sides of the wedding party prepped in calm, light-filled rooms overlooking the city.
Then, at the Arbory, just before the ceremony, Anna and Juanlo shared a no-look first touch—hands clasped around a corner of the space. It was quiet and grounding, a moment that added meaning to everything that followed
A Ceremony That Reflected Their Story
Beneath The Arbory’s signature skylight, surrounded by exposed brick and soft summers florals, Anna and Juanlo exchanged vows.
The wedding party stood in a mix of textures and tones—groomsmen wearing traditional Barongs, bridesmaids in bright pinks and oranges for their joyful summer weather. It moved with intention, framed by family traditions and the elegance of the space.

Family-Style Dinner & a Disco Ball Finish
One of the reasons we love The Arbory is how effortlessly it transforms from moment to moment. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour, the team flipped the ceremony space into a cozy dinner layout.
Dinner was served family-style, a nod to the couple’s love of shared meals and connection. The menu from Viola’s Kitchen included salmon with truffle beurre blanc, ratatouille, mushroom risotto, and other dishes that balanced comfort with creativity.
After heartfelt toasts, the dance floor opened under a disco ball—no overthinking, just music and movement. DJ Turntable Manners kept the pacing tight and the energy high.
A Sweet Ending
Guests ended the night with a full dessert table by Viola’s Kitchen and a classic wedding cake from Sweet Mandy B’s. It was one final moment to linger, grab a bite, and close out the night the way it started: together.
Kind Words from the Couple
“My husband and I cannot recommend Haylie enough. Seriously – if you are getting married, do yourself a favor and book her. She made the entire wedding planning process so smooth and enjoyable. We were really able to enjoy our engagement because of her guidance and support – and that's a gift we will always treasure. Our wedding day was more beautiful than we ever could have imagined. Again, because everything had been planned so thoughtfully and meticulously, we were able to truly live every minute of the best day of our lives. We will always be so so grateful to her and will recommend her to every couple who gets engaged – and maybe even just random strangers on the street!”
