Sam & Juana’s Summer Wedding at The BRIX on the Fox
For Sam and Juana, the priority was clear from the start: create a day that felt like them—and make it fun. Held just outside Chicago at The BRIX on the Fox, their summer wedding was full of relaxed moments, thoughtful details, and the kind of joyful energy that stays with you long after the dance floor clears.
A Morning Full of Meaning (and One Very Good Dog)
Before guests arrived, the couple carved out time for a few moments that mattered most: a first look between Juana and her dad. Then, before the official start of the ceremony, the couple privately exchanged vows.
And then there was Blue, their dog, who made a brief but unforgettable appearance. He won over the vendor team in seconds and reminded us all that the best celebrations include your favorite people and pets.
A Ceremony That Felt Easy
The venue layout at The BRIX on the Fox made transitions simple and seamless—no long waits, no shuffled guests, no complicated logistics. Sam and Juana stayed close to the action, and their guests flowed easily from one part of the day to the next.

Food Truck Fun
Instead of a traditional plated dinner, Sam and Juana went with what sounded fun: food trucks parked just outside the venue, serving as the party gained momentum.
Guests could choose from modern Mexican dishes—tacos, elote, rice, beans—or Neapolitan pizzas with salads, antipasto boards, meatballs, and skewers. Everyone ate what they wanted, when they wanted, which kept the mood light and the timeline flexible.
It was festive, casual, and exactly what the couple envisioned.
A Fun Take on Dessert
In lieu of a formal cake, Sam and Juana opted for something a little more playful: mini bundt cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes and a Dairy Queen Blizzard station. It was an instant hit. Guests got to customize their desserts and hang out between scoops.
Personal Touches That Made the Day Theirs
Every floral element—from the 49 vases to the 80 candles—was arranged by the couple. The time, intention, and care poured into the decor made the space feel like their own. It was a great reminder that meaningful doesn’t have to mean over-the-top.
Kind Words from the Bride
“Heirloom Event Company was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Haylie and her team demonstrated clear, responsive, and quick communication that put us at ease throughout the entire planning process. Their work was of the highest quality—they were incredibly thorough and paid close attention to every detail, going above and beyond at every turn. Haylie felt more like a close friend than a vendor, making the whole experience fun and stress-free. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Truly a life saver!”
